My name is Candida Crasto, and I practice psychotherapy through a transpersonal lens. What does that mean? In essence, I support people not just in healing what’s broken, but in discovering what’s whole—sometimes even sacred—within them.
Transpersonal psychology is a field that explores human experience beyond the limits of the individual ego. It honors the full spectrum of our inner life: the personal, the relational, the ancestral, the spiritual. This approach invites a deeper understanding of how your beliefs, emotions, body, creativity, and sense of connection all shape the story of who you are.
In our work together, I’ll support you in examining the internal patterns—schemas, beliefs, and identities—that have shaped you. Through gentle inquiry and integrative practices like mindfulness, somatic experiencing, parts work, and creative or spiritual exploration, we’ll create space for transformation that’s not just about symptom relief, but about aligning with your truest self.
This is not about fixing you. It’s about remembering you.
All of you is welcome here.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, I’ve spent over a decade traveling, living, and working all over the world. I’m a first-generation Indian-American woman. As the child of two immigrant parents, I have spent time understanding the construct of identity as it relates to self-acceptance, self-worth, and self-actualization. These themes are not only core to the self, but also integral parts of our interpersonal relationships - partners, children, friends, and communities.
I completed a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Dayton and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Sofia University. In between I have spent time in a variety of professional environments from large corporations to start ups; product development to sales and marketing; as well as co-founding two companies of my own.
My choice to become a therapist is based on my personal experience with therapy as well as my belief that everyone has the potential to uncover and enjoy their authentic selves.

I have developed an expertise in Sex and Relational Therapy, Couples/Marriage Counseling, and Family Therapy. I believe that we are the product of and contributors to many intricate systems of relationships and exploring and mapping personal ecosystems allows for the most holistic and sustainable change in therapy.
As a therapist, it’s my goal to create a safer place for you to show up honestly, with vulnerability, and with the potential for great transformation. I aim to work with clients in a very open, direct, and collaborative manner. You have the unique wisdom required for your success, it’s up to us to tap into that, expand and integrate it into your current and future life.
I primarily work with folks in person across the greater Cincinnati area and I have the capability to accept telehealth clients all over the world. I use the words "therapy" and "counseling" interchangeably throughout my website. Both, for me, indicate a client-centered, non-directive approach to care.
